Be Gone for a Bit

Greetings Gentle Readers,

I know I have not been around much lately, but I’m going to be around even less for a bit. For starters I am heading into an extremely busy period at work. We have a very documentation intensive release going out the end of October and my only hope of making my deadlines is to start hitting it pretty hard now. I’ll be working longer hours and some weekends, so I am afraid I am not really going to have the time and energy for the blog right now.

I have also decided I just need to step away from the internet for a bit. It is still possible to email me at the address on my blog but I will not be answering any emails until after this release has gone out. I appreciate everyone’s patience and understanding.

For any readers from Psychcafe, I have also turned off my PM’s, so please don’t take it personally if you try to contact me and it bounces.

Take care, AG

Taking an internet break is a great idea. Hope it is fruitful for you. Take care, AG.

Thanks MAC, I appreciate you saying it’s a good idea, I always feel a bit weird about stepping away, so the affirmation is nice to hear. As far as it being fruitful, I know my boss hopes so. 😀 Take care! xx AG

Just started reading your blog AG and it has been manna to my soul. While you are breaking from the Internet, I am taking a break from therapy and will very much look forward to catching up on your past posts. Praying you will make all your deadlines and that stress will go easy with you. So very grateful to you for sharing your heart.

Welcome to my blog! Thank you for the kind words. I am a rather verbose woman, so my back posts should keep you busy for a while. 🙂 Thanks also for the well wishes. I look forward to getting to know you better when I come back. ~ AG

I just want to wish you the best and look forward to your return. Your posts have been extremely helpful. I’m lucky and have an incredible therapist and found your blog as a great addition. Your ability to articulate and describe how you are feeling and the honesty and courage you share at the level you do is inspiring and appreciated. Thank you thank you!!

Take care and hoping your release goes smoothly. It can be pretty hectic at times, but you will pull through :)) hugs

((rakku)) Thank you so much! I’m right at that point which occurs at least once per release of feeling like it is going to be utterly impossible to pull this out. After so many years and so many releases, my husband just laughs at me. 🙂 I appreciate your belief in me! Take good care. xx AG

Hi, AG! Just came across your blog. Terribly grateful to have done so, terribly grateful that you have written it. Completely understand that you are on a bit of a hiatus, if you will….just want to let you know you are helping those of us in need of it even when you’re away;)! Actually, I’m thinking that (and please take this in the spirit it was meant) it kinda works for me, in that I will have a chance to read it all and digest it a bit before I start commenting and asking questions. Funny, therapy has totally taught me to find the proverbial silver lining in everything! Which is a pretty amazing skill to have, ’cause it’s like no matter what life deals you, negative or not, you can see how it can be transmuted into a positive. Which has also been the exact OPPOSITE of how I’ve felt in the past. Anyway…..do take your time to do what you need to do (obviously;), and rest assured we will be waiting patiently for your return! Much love, and THANK YOU!
P.S. I’m not looking for an immediate answer in any way shape or form, but….is it appropriate to share one’s psychiatric diagnosis here? Or is it better (for some reason unbeknownst to me) to keep things a bit more general? I look forward to your response (in your own time:)…..

hello attachment girl, wherever you are. i have sorely miased you. all is good, as far as you taking the time and doing your best in selfcare. i am just missing you. life is sometimes so lonely. it is true for each of us, i think. even if a person has an enviable amt of friends and family, they too can feel alone. i guess id like to have that to test, as in ‘money wouldnt change me. comeon test me!’. i am one who would rather be safe than hurt again. doesnt create much vitality in my life. dont want to cry about it. i do know the costs.i had some time this year when i was close to accepting the possibility that i could actually make some of the changes needed to open up and risk. was it just a dream? how many never-agains have i overcome?they have become so grotesquely awkward, each rendition harder to defy and reason away. i miss you. i do really hope you have had opportunities for getting positive work done, personally and professionaly. i hope too that Mr AG and the AG daughters are well and happy. you, AG are a warm talented and generous person, who is loved and appreciated. thanks.
