Quick Update

Hi All,
He’s doing very well, but my husband went into Afib this morning and ended up having a cardio revert done in the emergency room. Looks like he’s coming home, but for obvious reasons it will take a day or two to catch up on comments!

Ann and Judy, thanks for responding to Saba!

Update on the Update: Mr. AG (I loved that ancoraimparomyself so I am shamelessly stealing it! I have proudly carried his name all these years, so I’m sure he’d be glad to return the favor. 😀 ) is home and doing very well. His heart stayed in sinus rhythm and after keeping him a few more hours to make sure everything was stable, he was released from the emergency room and sent home. He’s getting better at catching when it’s going on, which is really helpful because he’s getting medical attention sooner, which makes the treatment a little less invasive. I am still disappointed that the medical professionals will not actually allow me to use the paddles and shock him though. 😀 (You know I joke, I am very happy to have him home safe and sound!) Now we’re sitting in the middle of five feet of snow with more coming down and it’s a balmy 0 degrees fahrenheit (-18 Celcius). And this is what my back deck looks like:

Not having to go through this back and forth to the hospital is a blessing! Thank you all for your prayers, thoughts and support!

Thanks Emma, we’re all doing very well, thanks! It ended up being a little surreal how quickly we moved through it and it was over.

AG, I am so sorry about your husband. You both sound like a good balance for each other! Marriage is never easy, but you guys are a great example of true marital love. You both are willing to be there during the difficult and scary times. Tell your husband I am hoping the best for his healing. As for you my dear, don’t be afraid to ask for help!! Hopefully the snow will melt soon and the sunshine will bring you guys smoother times! You are in my thoughts and prayers. Xoxo Ann

      Ann,
Must admit that we’ve been around the block a few times! 🙂 Our 29th anniversary is in May. There have been bumps along the way but I am incredibly blessed, he’s a wonderful man. And at this point, we both know the other isn’t going anywhere, which I know you’ll understand how big a deal that is for me. And I promise I am being good and asking for help. I actually was scheduled for a four hour phone shift on the Crisis Line that night, but I called and asked if they could find someone to cover it. And as far as the snow melting from your lips to God’s ears, we got another 9 inches last night. It’s like living inside a snow globe! 😀 Thank you for your prayers! xx AG

    Hey Girl!

WOW on the amazing posts – I’m still trying to get my head around what you wrote. I want to take the time to read and re-read them because of the intensity and richness of your experiences before I even attempt at making a sensible comment.
And WOW on your hubby being ok – I hope you both have time to enjoy eachother’s company and care over the following days. Wish him all the best from me!

And WOW on the SNOW! 🙂

    (((much love)))

(((Marijke))) Thanks, so glad that they resonated with you, I will look forward to hearing your thoughts once you’ve had a chance to process. And we’re doing well, actually having a nice weekend and getting lots done around the house (which was in need of some attention). I’m finally feeling better also so it was nice to have both of us up and about. Much love back, xx AG

I can’t even imagine dealing with that snow. I just can’t even comprehend how you go anywhere!! So glad Mr. AG is doing well! I am going to really be praying and wishing for warm weather and no more snow.

Thanks Moto! Mr. AG is doing really well and is back to work. As Afib espisodes go, that was a low impact one. And as far as the snow, this is bad even by Syracuse standards, but we expect snow and have the equipment to deal with it so it doesn’t slow us down as much as you’d think. 😀 Although grant you, lately we’ve all been looking at each other and saying “why do we live here again?” 😀 xx AG

    Hi AG,

I’m terribly sorry about what happened to your husband and I wish you both all the best.
I also wanted to say, referring to your previous posts: keep up the good work! Sounds like you’re making huge steps with BN (it may not seem like that from your point of view, though
    :-D).
Enjoy the snow (as much as one can enjoy that horrible thing) and take care of yourself!

      Hi Liz,
Thank you! We’re both doing much better.

And thanks for saying I’m doing good work. I am working on recognizing that. i took a bit of a breather this week as I needed to discuss a decision I am tying to make and of course we discussed Mr. Ag’s heart incident. And at one point, when we were discussing the recent work, I kept dancing around, then finally looked at BN and said “it’s so hard for me to say I know I’ doing good work.” That’s certainly what he’s reflecting to me, (while also continuing to hold my feet to the fire about the weight stuff. The man can be quite gently relentless. 🙂

Hope you’re doing well, it’s good, as always, to hear from you! xx AG
