Hope all is well with you. For the first time I think I opened up to experience transference. My T told me he was proud of something I achieved. (He never compliments me) First I had a very happy feeling. (Normally I would feel that was condescending). Then I felt this longing that I never heard praise from my dad. This was strange as I am the same age as my T. In the end it was a pleasant experience and I accepted all the confusing emotions that is part of therapy. I never thought it would happen to me. 🙂 Ann

Hi Ann,
So glad you enjoyed the pics! That is awesome that you were able to experience transference in the moment! It can be a difficult place to get to, being able to just accept and feel our emotions but I think that is where the healing truly takes place. I am also glad that you are learning to take in compliments (as you know, I have NO problems with that LOL). Thanks for sharing it here, I really do believe its a significant sign of progress but the best part is that you were able to recognize it. xx AG
